The Secret Signal (Part-1)

Liam was a 13-year-old boy who loved solving puzzles. One day, while exploring the attic in his grandpa’s house, he found an old radio. It was dusty and looked broken, but Liam plugged it in anyway. To his surprise, it worked! and soon began transmitting a secret signal.

Every night at exactly 7:13, the radio made a strange noise—beeps and static. Liam thought it was weird, so he started writing down the sounds. He noticed that the sounds were different each night, like a secret code.

He told his best friend Maya, who was really smart with numbers and puzzles. Together, they tried to figure out what the beeps meant. After a few days, Maya realized the sounds were showing map points—locations in their town.

The first place the code pointed to was an old observatory on Pine Hill. It had been closed for many years, and no one ever went there anymore. Liam and Maya decided to go check it out.

Inside the observatory, everything was covered in dust. But the telescope was pointed toward the forest—not the sky. That was strange. On the control panel, they found an envelope. Inside was a photo of a man standing next to a big satellite dish. On the back, someone had written: “They’re watching. The signal is a warning.”

That same night, the radio made a new sound. This time, a voice came through. It was hard to hear, but they could understand the words:
“Not safe. Don’t trust the signal. Find the tower.”

Liam looked out his window and saw something strange. In the far woods, there was a blinking red light. It looked like it was calling to them.

The next day, Liam and Maya packed snacks, water, and flashlights. They followed the red light into the forest. After walking for hours, they found a tall tower hidden behind trees. At the bottom was a small building with screens, wires, and machines inside. A black van was parked nearby, still warm.

On the wall inside the building, there was a message:
“If you’re reading this, it’s not too late. The signal is learning from you. Shut it down before it’s too late.”

Liam and Maya were shocked. Who knew they had found the signal? Who left the note?

Suddenly, the ground started to shake. A loud hum filled the air.

Something was coming.
