The Monster

Early in the morning, I woke up to realize that I was starving. I was carrying my lunch, which I did not eat at school [capsicum and rice, which I did not like]. I ate it, and it was very good.

Now I had to cross the mountain. There were three ways to cross it. I took the way that had less climbing to do.

It was very hard to cross it, but halfway through, I heard a rumble. I stopped and took a look around.
And then something fell on me. It had enormous teeth and a big spine; it was huge.

I ran quickly. Now I realize why there are three ways to run away from the monster. The animals here are older versions of today’s animals. (Because elephants are calm, in the opposite world, they are anxious.)

I slid from one way to the other until I reached the lowest path. Then I climbed to the way out. The 7-foot elephant-like thing was also good at climbing and was following me. The snake that was eating grass was also scared of the elephant monster, and it helped me because the elephant was now following the grass-eating snake, which does not live on high plains. I was out of that situation and the mountains. I had run so fast that I didn’t realize how far I had come!

There was a portal in front of me. I jumped in it! I was sleeping in front of the mysterious storeroom when I woke up.
‘Was it all a dream? I exclaimed.

I opened the door again, but there was nothing—no portal or anything.
I realized how realities differ; after all, a dream is a dream.
